Helping Children Blossom through Education
Keeping them off the street
Supporting children and promoting good health to keep them in school
Giving them an opportunity to break the poverty cycle

Grace Educational Trust is providing new learning opportunities to children in need in the small village of Betim Ramnagar in Goa, India. In our first year we are serving 40 children: more await enrolment. These children are ready to start building their futures, but they need our help. Every child has a unique story, but all are at risk of not realizing their full potential. The children come from families that are poor and some come for single-parent-homes. Often their parents are uneducated and may suffer from serious health problems.

They are caught in a cycle of poverty with little or no access to education – a critical means to break the cycle and renew hope for a better future.

Now, the children in Betim have a chance to come to a school that is providing education through early childhood development and tutoring programs. Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and their families by creating opportunities for education, skills development and community leadership. The school is a beacon of hope that reminds each person that someone does care and that something different is possible.

The non-profit centre was formed by two women who came together in 2006 to support impoverished children and their families. “This is about never forgetting those who might otherwise be easily forgotten. And it’s about how we help each other, across communities, countries and continents, to get there,” says co-founder, Neelima Pratap.

With your help, we will be able to teach more children every year.

We can make a difference today for children who will make a difference tomorrow.
